GrowWell™ is a simple vessel that inserts into the ground utilising the natural soil properties, conserves water and focusing nutrients. 

The GrowWell™ FP350 planting aperture is 100mm in diameter which is suitable for most seasonal vegetable, fruit, flowers and shrub plants of which the stems do not exceed the 100mm aperture.

Installing a GrowWell™ is easy and less laborious when compared to traditional gardening methods. There is a short 4-step process. Refer to the instruction sheet and/or watch our video on the GrowWell™ Instructions page of the Focus Planting Australia website.

GrowWell™ has been engineered to include a well with a capacity of 5 litres. Watering is possible either manually with a bucket, watering can, a hose, a high-flow irrigation system, or alternatively you could simply take advantage of the rain depending on your climatic conditions and plant’s health requirements.

Checkout our compatible accessory component, the SplashGuard which prevents splashback during high-flow irrigation methods such as a high pressure hose. The SplashGuard has several features accommodating to your plant’s growth journey. 

Soil preparation and addition of composts are a great pre-requisite to installation of GrowWell™. Focus Planting Australia encourages you to prepare the soil well before planting and installing the GrowWell™ Focus Planter. 

For ongoing plant growth and care, fertilisers and nutrients can be applied in liquid-form or as organic compost teas to prescribed rates in conjunction with watering.

Watering any plant is dependent on several factors, including plant type, plant size, soil type, rainfall and climatic conditions, whilst allowing soils to be moist and not damp.

Initial watering objectives should be to enable soils to be moist to a depth of 30cm. This is achievable by filling the well of GrowWell™ with approximately 2-3 litres of water per week. Since GrowWell™ significantly reduces evaporation, less frequent water application is necessary over the longer term. With a soil moisture monitor you are encouraged to check the soils moisture content to determine the plant’s appropriate requirements for water application.

The translucent surfaces of  GrowWell™  act as a guide to monitoring the soil’s retained moisture. If you see water droplets and formation of condensation, rest assured your plant has some moisture content in the soil and root zone.

Setting a regular weekly watering cycle will help you learn the amount of water and watering interval necessary for each plant during its growth.

The robust design of GrowWell™ ensures significantly less evaporation  and controlled soil coverage. The GrowWell™ well feature allows for concentrating a large volume of water directly at the root zone of the plant.

Soil preparation, weeding and watering are significant factors which are greatly reduced when growing and nurturing plants with GrowWell™. The laborious efforts for creating level furrows for water channelling are eliminated. Secondly, the planting aperture to area coverage with GrowWell™ FP350 is only 6% which means the need for back-breaking weeding and the use of herbicides is drastically reduced. Thirdly, watering is less frequent therefore requiring less of your effort and giving you more time to enjoy your garden. 

GrowWell™ is made from Australian sun resistant, UV-stabilised Polypropylene. It is completely 100% recyclable which means after need requirements, you may simply pop it into your household recycling bin for removal and reuse. GrowWell™ is currently available in the colour translucent green.

Outside of your planting season, you can stack and store GrowWell™ safely in a shed. Each GrowWell™ comfortably stacks in one another with about a 2cm addition in height when stacked.
